Worship and Music

Worship, Sundays at 9:00am

Our worship and service to God is founded on the firm belief that, as Christians, we ought to be filled with peace and hope, and that, through the Bible, we can find the answers to life’s difficult questions.

Our desire is for the Holy Spirit to lead us in worship so that we may know the true and living God, whose glory fills the universe. To that end, we do not strive to provide religious entertainment, but rather to seek a genuine encounter with the living God.

We believe that God’s Holy Spirit is present in a special way during worship, as He teaches, changes hearts and generally directs our worship toward God the Father and toward the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

We are never in a paralyzing dread of His authority and sovereign power, but we come to Him in confession and repentance for our ungodly ways and deeds. As He forgives and releases us from the grief and guilt of our sin, we can only respond in joyful praise, gratitude and longing for Him.

Our God is worthy of our awe, wonder, fear, and amazement, and we welcome you to come worship Him with us.

Our Philosophy On Music

Here at TACC, we like to sing about what our holy, faithful, loving and righteous God has done. In a day and age when everything is man-centered and society teaches us to look out for number one, it is especially good to purposely draw the focus away from ourselves when we sing. Sadly, many of the songs sung by Christians today and played on Christian radio stations follow modern society's example, as they often focus on the worshipper, rather than the object of our worship.

We joyfully sing hymns and praise songs, and we do so with a contemporary praise band. Our purpose is not to target a particular demographic or attempt to appeal to a specific age group. However, we do love to sing a new song to the Lord. There is a freshness about our music, and yet we haven't forgotten the musical heritage of our faith.
