The youth ministry will be going to the Union Rescue Mission for a weekend to serve those experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. The Union Rescue Mission is located on Skid Row, and we will be partnering with the mission to help prepare and serve meals, interact with the residents (talk with them, pray with them), and learning about both physical and spiritual poverty.

We are called to feed the hungry, give water the to thirsty, and bring justice to the oppressed (Mt. 25:31-46). By going down to Skid Row we want to humble ourselves and serve, not because we are better, but because we have been blessed by our God with so much. He has given us many physical and spiritual resources we desire to share with those who do not have it, that God's kingdom and will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mt. 6:10).

1. Priority for this trip will be given to Junior High students (if space becomes an issue)

2. Cost: $25

3. Payment to secure spot is due by Sunday, June 8th

4. Mandatory meeting on Sunday, June 8th at 5pm for students and parents
