Women's retreat recap. In the Potter's Hands

Elephants circle the herd to protect the hurt, suffering, and injured. Should we do any less? Fling open the door to grace, reach in, and love someone in their pain.

Creating a grace filled welcome while opening your home and arms to new possibilities and people.

It is this love; Christ's love, that creates unity in the midst of diversity; quelling hostility and fostering humility. It is there when we lose our self importance, that the ability to truly serve and love others comes into sharp focus.

Nehemiah points to the Greater Nehemiah, Jesus Christ, offering a look forward within the redemptive story arc. Nehemiah shows us how to step out boldly on behalf of faith, how to get involved, how to live in community with the gifts God has given. we are all one and have much to contribute.

Father help us to grow in your Word where we see your character revealed. Every page speaks your Holy name. Thank you Lord for the undeserved grace you pour out on us in a continued stream and for the joy we find at the cross. Focus our attentions on the far reaching arm of the Gospel that defeats the enemy when he would taunt and lie. Lord give us a desire to remain in community, adopted daughters sharing in the joy of your presence. In this time of moral bankruptcy help us to be a beacon, a light shining your glory to those around us.

True community friendship fosters a safe environment where the hard questions can be asked. Where we fearlessly hold one another accountable. True friendship fosters a sisterhood bond forged at the cross designed to comfort and strengthen.

It is often difficult to wait patiently; silently as someone's story pours forth. We selfishly or inattentively want to rush in during the first pause. We can cultivate community and relationships if we learn to listen intently with focused other centeredness.

Reach out to others with love in Christ. Plant new seeds of friendship.

Titus 2 outlines the mutual benefit and blessing derived from life together where we support, serve, encourage, and learn from each other bound by the mercy and grace of our Lord...

Crave the milk and meat of the Gospel, delight in the Lord. As your knowledge of Him increases that love will bubble over to others.

What does it mean to live in a way that acknowledges that "Christ is in you" and we are in His presence always? How can we be "Christ" to each other...intentionally loving each other as Christ first loved us?

"One of the best things we can do for our family is to help them enjoy giving thanks." Odds are someone at your Thanksgiving table may not be a believer. Thanksgiving is a wonderful gateway for those who are far from God. As someone recognizes that Jesus is the source of all that is good, which is what happens in giving thanks, so that person learns to acknowledge Him and His goodness.
