Elephants circle the herd to protect the hurt, suffering, and injured. Should we do any less? Fling open the door to grace, reach in, and love someone in their pain.

Grace poured out and undeserving changes us from inside out; filling us with the love of Christ that bubbles forth unbidden reflecting the glory of God.

Give others the grace of encouragement this season.

Thanksgiving and the gathering family may be a time for anxiety when old experiences threaten to surface. Extend grace this holiday season and choose to offer a glimpse of the Gospel by extending forgiveness and overflowing grace to those at your table.

Oh Lord light a fire in us for your Word. That our hearts would clamor for the Book! That our souls would shout, "BRING OUT THE BOOK!" That we would purposefully, attentively, thoughtfully, prayerfully consume the Word. That our posture would reflect our desire to learn and listen to you speak Lord. Let us feel responsive to the Word, let it penetrate. Let us truly see our spiritual condition and existing weaknesses. Let us seek joy, the true joy that that bubbles up from within and is only found at the foot of the cross, rather than the sort of generic happiness the world is peddling. Let us stand tall on the rock as children of the promise, knowing your great grace will have the last word.

Vulnerable authenticity enables others to love us where we are, to meet us in our pain, to pray specifically, and to support us when we are suffering.

Father's Day is a day chosen to honor fathers and all they do to bless our lives. For some the sting of fatherless childhoods, single motherhood, or the loss of a father can bring hurt to the surface.

Marriage is a representation of Christ and the church and a love so amazing it is poured out for all eternity in a never ending stream of grace covering all sin for all time. It highlights in two people the growth and spiritual maturity achieved through Christ over time. The marriage metaphor allows us to fully appreciate the enormity of God's love, mercy, and grace.

We celebrate the grace of Christ and proclaim His glory through baptism. We announce to our brothers and sisters we have trusted in Christ, our old self has died. Baptism serves as a celebration, proclamation,and an illustration of what it means to be a Christian not just for the person immersed but for the church as a Gospel reflection.

Shift our gaze to the "love uttermost" of our Savior Christ Jesus as we focus on the days leading up to the death of Jesus(Good Friday)and Easter. Dive into unimaginable love, love without boundaries, encumbrances, love wrapped in humility, love expressed as unfathomable mercy, amazing love poured out covering us in limitless grace.

As believing Christians it is often heart wrenching when our adult children flee from faith. What can we do and how should we interact with these wayward prodigals?

Pinning our hopes on a wordly ideal this Valentine's Day can leave us wanting more. When we realize it's not about us, it's about God, we are full of the indescribable joy that comes from the glory of God.

Titus 2 outlines the mutual benefit and blessing derived from life together where we support, serve, encourage, and learn from each other bound by the mercy and grace of our Lord...

Crave the milk and meat of the Gospel, delight in the Lord. As your knowledge of Him increases that love will bubble over to others.

Wait upon the Lord and find strength for a true heart change in Him.
