WELCOME!

The purpose of this blog is to provide helpful resources and support to the women of Taft Avenue Community Church. Our ultimate goal is to encourage women in Christ by connecting them with God and each other so they will grow in their faith. This will enable them to reach out with the gospel and with God's love to other women in the church and in the community.

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."
- Titus 2:3-5 ESV

What comes to mind when you hear the word "worship?" Do you think of the music or do you think about God; His character, nature, grace...? Do you come to church to be entertained or as an active participant?

Where does the determination, the grit to continue on in this life when things are tough come from? How do we maintain heart felt joy in the face of suffering or adversity? Nehemiah helps us to discover the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Unsearchable, beyond tracing out, inscrutable, unfathomable, past finding out

Elephants circle the herd to protect the hurt, suffering, and injured. Should we do any less? Fling open the door to grace, reach in, and love someone in their pain.

Valentine's Day can be difficult when we are left with unmet expectations. Find true contentment in the Lord.

Living intentionally

The holidays are over and the new year has begun! What a great time to review our walk with Christ, renew our commitment to Him and refocus the use of our time and talents to accomplish the Lord's purposes.

Grace poured out and undeserving changes us from inside out; filling us with the love of Christ that bubbles forth unbidden reflecting the glory of God.

We are unique with strengths, gifts, and appearances different from our sisters. We each bring contributions that help complete our ability to love others.
